Eggs Benedict in Magog with house-made hollandaise
At Oeufs et Crêpe in Magog, we make our hollandaise from scratch every morning: real butter, real eggs, whisked by hand before the first coffee is poured. No powder, no packets.
That hollandaise tops our 11 eggs Benedict ($17.50 to $21.95), served on your choice of English muffin, plain crêpe, French toast or bagel, with a meat (bacon, sausage, ham or bologna), home fries, fresh fruit and coffee or tea. Looking for eggs Benedict near you in Magog? We serve them every day from 6 am on weekdays and 7 am on weekends at 1747 Rue Sherbrooke.
Our 11 eggs Benedict
The classics first: the Béné Jambon ($17.50) with ham and Swiss cheese, and the Florentine ($17.95) with spinach and cheddar. Then the Béné Brie with mushrooms, the Béné Viande Fumée (smoked meat), the Béné Deluxe (ham, tomato, asparagus), the Béné Trois Viandes, the Béné Avocat et Bacon and the Béné Steak et Champignons. For fish lovers, the Béné Saumon Fumé ($20.25) comes on a bagel, and the Béné Saumon et Avocat ($21.95) completes the list.
The Béné Œuf et Crêpe, our signature dish
The Béné Œuf et Crêpe ($20.95) is the signature dish of Oeufs et Crêpe in Magog and carries the restaurant’s name: two poached eggs on grilled steak, onions, peppers, avocado and Swiss cheese under house-made hollandaise. Served with home fries and a bowl of fresh fruit. If you cannot decide, order it on a plain crêpe instead of an English muffin — the version that links our two specialties.
Hollandaise made fresh every morning
Classic hollandaise is an emulsion of egg yolks and melted butter. It is delicate and slow, which is why many kitchens use a powdered mix. We whisk ours by hand every morning. You can add it as an extra ($3.50), and you will also find it on the Omelette Enrobée, on the side of our cast-iron skillets, on the salmon of our lunch plates, or on our breakfast poutines instead of gravy.
A Benedict, brunch-style
The Coco Béné ($18.95) pairs one eggs Benedict with a half waffle, strawberries, banana and chocolate — perfect if you cannot choose between sweet and savoury. See our brunch in Magog, 7 days a week or every Benedict price on the menu.
How to order your Benedict
Three choices to make: the base (English muffin, plain crêpe, French toast or bagel), the side meat (bacon, sausage, ham or bologna) and, if you like, your home fries swapped for a poutine for $4. Love the sauce? Ask for extra hollandaise. Allergy or intolerance? Tell your server when you order — one guest, for example, asked for her Benedict without bread.
“Second visit! Excellent service, bright and colorful space. The fruit bowl that accompanies the eggs Benedict is very generous, varied, fresh and beautifully presented. I absolutely loved the hollandaise sauce — it was delicious.”
